Sri Siddeswara Swami Temple

Siddula Gutta

A sacred Swayambhu Shiva kshetram atop the Siddula Gutta hill in Kodavatur, blessed by Siddha yogis and revered for centuries.

Sthala Purana

The Hill of the Siddhas

Tradition traces the shrine back over a thousand years, to Nath-Siddha yogis — Matsyendranath, Gorakhnath and Kanikanath — who are said to have performed penance on this hill and worshipped the self-manifested lingam within its cave.

Devotees hold that the Swayambhu lingam grows a little each year. The hill also bears Kakatiya-era sculptures and shrines, making it a living confluence of faith and heritage.
